About Tails on the Town

Tails on the Town is a small, professional dog walking business owned byMaria Sandomenico & Doug Proscia. Maria has been walking dogs since 1999 and Doug joined her in 2009 to make a great dog walking team. Our 36 years of combined experience gives us the expertise to work with all types of pups and situations.  Being the proud owner of two mutts, we know the importance of their well being and are committed to taking care of your canine, the way we do our own.

Quality, not quantity, is our motto when it comes to dog walking. Our clients have the peace of mind knowing that we are the only people who have access to their home and take care of their best friend. We never take on more than we can handle, which gives us the flexibiltiy, not only to accommodate our clients, but to build personal relationships with each dog and their person.

Maria has finished her academy courses in behavioral training  and hopes to work towards her certification as a behaviorist. This training has helped to teach basic puppy obedience and deal with behavior issues for many of the Tails on the Town pups. She subscribes to the positive reinforcement model of training and enjoys sharing her knowledge with her clients.
Doug has been walking dogs since 2009 & has both compassion & knowledge to work with all types of Brooklyn dogs. Our clients can attest to his skills & patience   when working with their furry friends.  Both Doug and Maria recently finished a Red Cross CPR pet seminar to expand their canine education.

We bring all of this knowledge and care to our work and have eighteen years of happy dog clients to prove it.
